Spotlight on Easy Readers

Easy-Readers are number- and color-coded to aid in book selection:

#1 Green:  These are the simplest easy-readers in the collection, with recognizable sight words, lots of repetition, picture clues and big type.

#2 Blue:  These mid-level easy-readers have simple sentences, simple dialogue and limited vocabulary designed to encourage the emergent reader as his/her confidence grows.

#3 Red:  This is the level immediately before chapter books.  Vocabulary is more complex, and the sentences and stories are longer.
