A digital native is a "person born into the digital age (after 1980), who has access to networked technologies and strong computer skills and knowledge." Additionally, "...(he/she) shares a common global culture that is defined not strictly by age, but by certain attributes and experiences related to how they interact with information technologies, information itself, one another, and other people and institutions."
We have borrowed the term from John Palfrey and Urs Gasser's book "Born Digital", with the hope of letting our patrons know how much we appreciate their digital information needs.
