Identification requirements for new library cards:
Adults: All adult library card applicants must complete and sign a short application in person. A valid ID that proves who you are is needed, as well
as proof of Fairview residency. Examples of ID include: passport, driver’s license, or green card. Examples of proof of residency include: apartment lease, PSEG bill, municipal tax bill, or deed.
Children: Parents/guardians of children will need to complete and sign a short application in person on their child’s behalf. Additionally, if you would like your child (age 8 and older) to have permission to use the Internet, another
form will need to be completed and signed. The circulation staff will make a note
about “Internet permission” on the library card and in our computer.
Please note that by signing a library card application, you are agreeing to our borrowing policies and rules.
High-speed wireless internet can be accessed throughout the library.
A Xerox copier is available for public use. Additionally, the library offers printing from our public access computers.
Library users: Xerox copies are 15 cents, computer printouts are 25 cents.
Students: Free for up to 5 Xerox copies or computer printouts.
Our staff is intent on helping homebound library users. We will happily deliver books, media, or periodicals and provide photocopying services. Please call us at 201-943-6244 for arrangements.
